Are Caffeine Pouches Safe? What Our Lab Results Show
What We Screen For
Lab Testing Results Summary
Our Focus Pouches are tested by Certified Laboratories (A2LA accredited, Burbank, CA) for 100+ pesticides, 50+ solvents, and 4 heavy metals. All pesticides and solvents: Not Detected. Heavy metals measured well below USP <232> thresholds — Lead at 0.002 ppm vs. a 5 ppm limit, or 2,500x below. Caffeine verified at 113% of our 50 mg label claim. Full breakdown in the results table above. We publish the Certificate of Analysis so you can check every number yourself. That said, no supplement is universally "safe" — consult your doctor if you take medications or have health conditions.
Our COA from Certified Laboratories covers four categories: pesticide residues (100+ compounds per USP <561>), residual solvents (50+ compounds per USP <467>), heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic via ICP-MS), and caffeine content accuracy. This is the same level of testing applied to dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products.
Yes, at trace levels found naturally in soil and water. Our results: Lead 0.002 ppm (USP limit: 5 ppm), Mercury 0.004 ppm (limit: 1.5 ppm), Cadmium 0.004 ppm (limit: 2 ppm), Arsenic 0.002 ppm (limit: 1.5 ppm). Every metal is hundreds to thousands of times below the safety threshold. Full panel in the COA download above.
Yes. Each Focus Pouch contains Ashwagandha, Lion's Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Bacopa Monnieri, and Guarana (50 mg caffeine). Caffeine verified at 113% of label claim. All ingredients screened for pesticide contamination and solvent residues — see the results table above.
Certified Laboratories, a Certified Group company in Burbank, California. They hold A2LA accreditation under ISO 17025 and specialize in testing cosmetics, dietary supplements, OTC products, and consumer goods. This is a different lab from the one that tests our vape products — we use Legend Technical Services (St. Paul, MN) for vapes. Different product types require different analytical expertise.
We test production batches before release and publish the results. The Certificate of Analysis on this page (Account 250708-0118) covers our Peach Focus Pouch batch, received by the lab on July 8, 2025 and reported July 15, 2025. This COA is representative of our manufacturing process across all four flavors.
No long-term studies specifically address caffeine pouch effects on gum tissue. Our pouches are tested for contaminants that could harm oral health — heavy metals, pesticides, and residual solvents all came back clean. The pouch material itself is food-grade. If you experience gum irritation, reduce usage frequency or switch sides. People with existing periodontal conditions should consult their dentist.
Not Detected (ND) means the substance was below the instrument's Limit of Detection (LOD) — essentially unmeasurable. For pesticides, our lab uses USP <561> modified methods with detection limits as low as 0.01 mg/kg. For solvents, USP <467> with limits as low as 2 ppm. When we say "Not Detected," it means the most sensitive available equipment couldn't find it.
