Roon and Cyclone Focus Pouches are both nicotine-free caffeine pouches, but they're built for different doses. A Roon pouch has 80 mg of caffeine plus L-theanine and two caffeine-related compounds, methylliberine and theacrine. A Cyclone Focus Pouch has 50 mg of caffeine from guarana inside a 400 mg blend of adaptogens and mushrooms. Roon sells only in bundles of four or more tins and publishes no lab report. You can buy a single Cyclone tin and read its full Certificate of Analysis.
Roon labels and prices checked on takeroon.com on Oct 27, 2026. We make Cyclone Focus Pouches, so every competitor figure below is one Roon publishes.
Roon vs Cyclone Focus: the short version
Pick Roon if you want about a coffee's worth of caffeine per pouch with L-theanine, you like mint, and you'll buy at least four tins.
Pick Cyclone Focus Pouches if you'd rather start at 50 mg, want four flavors, want to buy one tin, or want to read the lab report first.

Roon subscriptions run from 4 tins a month ($49.96) to 12 tins every 3 months ($109.92). Roon's label caps use at 4 pouches a day, which is 320 mg of caffeine.
Caffeine: 50 mg vs 80 mg
One Roon pouch is close to a cup of brewed coffee. One Cyclone pouch is about half a cup. Which is better depends on how much you want per dose. Four Roon pouches reach 320 mg, which leaves little room for coffee or energy drinks under the FDA's 400 mg a day guideline for healthy adults. At 50 mg you can take one pouch, see how it feels, and add another later. Our guide to caffeine pouch safety covers spacing doses.
Roon also contains methylliberine and theacrine. Both are related to caffeine and are marketed for longer-lasting energy. If you're sensitive to caffeine, count them as part of the stimulant load, not as extras.
We publish a measured caffeine figure: Certified Laboratories tested lot 202605 by HPLC and found 39–48 mg per pouch by flavor, against the 50 mg label. We didn't find a measured figure for Roon.
What else is in the pouch
Roon pairs its caffeine with 60 mg of L-theanine, a common combination, for 170 mg of actives per pouch. Cyclone Focus Pouches carry 400 mg of total actives: caffeine from guarana, phosphatidylserine, and ashwagandha, reishi, lion's mane, cordyceps and bacopa. There's no L-theanine in ours, so if that's what you're after, Roon is the closer match. Our guide to nootropic pouch ingredients compares what each of these does and doesn't have evidence for.
Ashwagandha isn't for everyone. Check with a doctor if you're pregnant, nursing, on thyroid medication, or taking anything for blood pressure or blood sugar.
Price and how you buy
Roon is sold only at takeroon.com and only in bundles of four or more 15-pouch tins. The one-time price is $59.96 for 60 pouches, or $1.00 each. A 12-tin subscription brings that down to about $0.61 a pouch.
A Cyclone tin is $9.99 for 20 pouches, or $0.50 each, and you can buy just one. The Build Your Own 6-can bundle mixes any flavors for $56.94, about $0.47 a pouch, and subscribing takes another 10% off. Focus Pouch orders of $35 or more ship free in the US.
Per pouch, Cyclone costs less than any Roon plan, and it's much cheaper to try. Per milligram of caffeine, Roon's 12-tin subscription comes out ahead.
Flavors
Roon comes in Cool Mint only. Cyclone comes in Cinnamon, Mint, Peach and Wintergreen.
Lab testing
We didn't find lab testing or a certificate of analysis on Roon's site. It says Roon isn't a nicotine or tobacco product, and the page carries the standard FDA disclaimer.
Our Focus Pouches lab report is public. Certified Laboratories (Burbank, CA; A2LA ISO 17025 accredited, certificate 3034.01) tested lot 202605 in all four flavors. Each flavor had 68 pesticide results and 57 solvent results under their USP limits. Heavy metals were lead 0.02–0.04 ppm, arsenic 0.02 ppm and mercury 0.0002–0.001 ppm, with cadmium not detected. The COA marks the pesticide, caffeine, and Class I and III solvent results as outside the lab's A2LA accreditation, and we'd rather tell you that than leave it out.
Which one to pick
- Roon if you want 80 mg caffeine with L-theanine in one pouch, like mint, and will buy at least four tins.
- Cyclone Focus Pouches if you'd rather start at 50 mg, want more than one flavor, want to buy a single tin, or want to read the lab report first. Shop all four flavors.
